Materials Handling Improved for Laser
A load/unload system was engineered and placed into operation to assist the operator and increase green light time on Everhard's laser. A jib crane with hoist and pneumatic lifting device aids the operator in getting sheets and plates into load position, having proved especially helpful with heavier gauge material.
An unload device was engineered and fabricated to assist with small parts allowing the operator to remove an entire sheet of cut parts rather than remove them one by one. The operator can start a new sheet while other operators are separating and stacking parts off line.
Haeger 824 Window Touch Insertion Machine
Includes a four-station tooling turret, allowing operators to process parts with up to four different fasteners complete with a single handling. The machine has a PC-based touch screen, which operators use to program, store, and run parts through the machine.
Giant Vibratory Finishing and Deburring System
Allows parts needing deburring to be loaded into the machine via conveyor. Operator then starts machine and can begin another work order. The machine loads a set number of parts into the wet machine and runs them through the cycle. After a preset processing time, the wet machine reverses and unloads the parts into the dry machine. After a preset processing time, the dry machine unloads the parts into a bin. This system allows less labor involvment than separate machines requiring operators to move the parts between machines. |
