Hole intensive fabrications typically require tolerances to be ± .008", and often also have smooth edges and irregular contours. Everhard's combination Laser/Turret Punch Press punches numerous holes quickly while the outside edges are laser cut, yielding parts with a smooth, burr-free edge. Blanks are formed using CNC brake presses and are monitored and checked by computer to ensure that the precise tolerances are achieved.
